Junior High Youth Ministry

Mission:
The goal of our Ministry is to gather young people in the Sixth, Seventh and Eighth grades from Catholic, Parochial and Public Schools in the area to create One Catholic Junior High Youth Community of Holy Family Cathedral.

Events:
Junior High Youth Ministry consists of a weekly meeting entitled The Attic that is geared towards all Junior High, to create a better understanding of our Catholic teachings. Our Attic events are offered twice a week during the school year on Monday nights from 7-8:30PM.

The Junior High Youth Ministry also focuses on building Community. So once a month we try to gather for our Junior Seeker socials which are fun events for the youth to gather and just have a good time together.

Junior High Youth Ministry understands the importance of the young people in our community to be able to give like Christ through service. Offered through out the year in our program is “Service with a Smile”. These events are scheduled for young people to understand what amazing differences they can make in others lives. In the past we have gone to Retirement Homes and decorated as well as assisting in Fundraisers for Charity.

Summer Events:
Junior High Youth Ministry also has numerous Summer events beginning with our Opening Day in June where all children in the Sixth Grade will be welcomed into our program in a “Come and See” event that is created for the entire family.

Need for Volunteers:
The Youth in our program can truly see the importance they are in the Community here at Holy Family as they participate in our events. There is a need for adult volunteers who love our Lord and love kids, if you or someone you know are interested in seeding the love of Christ in the Junior High in our Community please contact Stephanie Packer, Junior High Youth Minister.
