Holy
Family Cathedral Office of Religious Education
Mission:
The Office of Religious Education is engaged in continuing the
mission of Jesus Christ through evangelization and catechesis. As
a community of faith we are called to discover and give meaning to
the Gospel message through Word, Worship, and Service.
Purpose:
The
Office of Religious Education is dedicated to the Gospel call to
transform the world through the power of God in Jesus. Recognizing
the diversity of the faith community, the school of religious
education is called to evangelize families and provide
catechetical programs for children that seek to compliment and
co-operate with the efforts of parents and guardians as they share
a living faith with their children and each other.
Goal:
- To provide instructional and formational
programs that give meaning to the Gospel message, bring about
participation in the sacramental life of the community, and
evoke a commitment to serve in Christ's name.
- To "echo" the message of Jesus Christ
who leads us to Communion with the Father and the Holy Spirit.
- To develop a dialogue between God, who
communicates himself to us in love, and the community who
respond in faith.
