Overview:

Religion consists of the children preparing for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion.

In Math, students will complete the concepts of addition and subtraction with borrowing. Other concepts taught are measurements, shapes, fractions, time and money. Children will continue to develop Problem Solving Skills be a daily Problem of the Day. Students will continue to develop speedy recall of addition and subtraction facts as well. Multiplication is introduced at the end of the year.

Our language Arts program consists of reviewing phonics and spelling. They will read from a children's Literature collection where comprehension and vocabulary skills will be enhanced. By using the Open Court Program, the children are moving away from learning to read to reading to learn.
