Spanish Choir Director

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor of Music Degree or equivalent experience. The candidate should possess bilingual skills in Spanish and English. The candidate should also demonstrate excellent musicianship skills and have the ability to either play guitar, piano, or sing. The candidate should be able to read music and teach music to a group of instrumentalists and singers. Conducting skills are a plus. The candidate should also possess good collaboration skills and have a working knowledge of current Catholic liturgical documents and practice.
Responsibilities:
· The choir director would work to collaborate with the Rector and Director of Music in accomplishing our vision for music ministry.
· Lead a weekly rehearsal and 12:45pm Sunday mass.
· Play piano, guitar, or sing as needed.
· Lead music for special holy days (Christmas, Holy Week, Our Lady of Guadalupe)
· Develop choir as an ensemble singers, cantors and instrumentalists.
· Choose appropriate music for the liturgy in cooperation with the Director of Music.
Pay:
· Part time, per diem
